Scale's of Balance (Arrival of Abyss)

"You got that right...." Kurai sighed.

I stare into the blade of my sword, my eyes fixated on my reflection" Someone sure looks good today" I think to myself and I continue to stare at the reflection, All of a sudden the face staring back at me changes into something, something evil, it looks just like me but it's characteristics are tainted with blood lust, I flinch at the the sight, then I relax again and think to myself"Right.. that "is" me"I sigh and lay the sword down beside me.

Kurai looked at Takeru, and sighed. "Are you....lonely?"

"What the hell are you talking about, I'm never lonely, a man needs no companionship but that of his fists."

"That's what I used to think...Even Abyss convinced me of it...." Kurai looked at Takeru, staring at him. "But, now that I even think about it....I guess I'm a bit lonely, too."

"When you "think" about it huh? Guess I'm just good at not thinking at all then.."

"Well, it's not that. You just don't think about it, you think about many other things...." Kurai smiled.

"I guess you're right, the truth is that I've got more important things than myself to think about, so my problems don't really matter, hell almost everything I'm doing right now I'm doing because I feel like I owe it to someone else.."

"Like....your brother?" Kurai asked.

"Yeah..like my bro, my old man, the village...and the list goes on and on."

"Well, you certainly can't do it alone." Kurai giggled a little.

"I'm "not" alone now am I, even if I were, what I couldn't accomplish by my self, I'd probably die trying."

"You're not as arrogant as you were before." Kurai smiled a little.

"That "could" be true or it could be that I just don't have the opportunity for arrogance at the moment" a slight grin forms on my face.

"That kiss was nice, wasn't it....Takeru?" Kurai smiled, asking.

"Aren't you the one who said it hurt?" I say mockingly

"I was asking you." Kurai puffed her cheeks, her face flushed in a light rosey red.

"It was "alright" I say with a slight tone of sarcasm

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Kurai got a little upset at Takeru's answer.

"heh, whatever you want it to, since I honestly have no idea"

"You really make no sense." Kurai sighed.

"What? those were the best lines I've ever told anyone, you're the one not making any sense"

"It's not my fault." Kurai crossed her arms.

"No it's not, since that was the worst the excuse for faulty wordplay I've ever told anyone" I watch Kurai with a slightly awkward look.

"What?" Kurai sort of glared at him.
